What is a host?
Exceed hosts are there to work alongside your venue to ensure things run on time and seamlessly so that you’re able to relax and enjoy your special day rather than worrying about the details of how the day needs to go. Unlike a venue ‘Master of Ceremonies’ the host is there not to just make announcements but to entertain you!
Starting at the beginning of your day the host will be spending time getting to know your guests, making them feel part of the day, guiding them through it and being that point of contact throughout.
They will work with you to inject your own personalities into the day, kicking off with grand entrances into the wedding breakfast for your bridal party and top table, to your own specific music tracks! The host can even provide a brief synopsis of their love story before bringing the bride and groom into the room.
Throughout the wedding breakfast, which can often be where things slow down, your host will be continuing to build rapport and atmosphere across the tables ensuring everyone feels involved and important in your special day. They provide marriage advice cards to your guests, which are read out throughout the wedding breakfast, and also host a variety of interactive games such as the hugely popular “Mr & Mrs”. They can then offer tailored introductions for the speeches, which include the use of a wireless microphone meaning this important part of the day flows seamlessly and everyone can hear clearly.
What happens after the wedding breakfast?
Great news, our hosts are professional DJ’s as well! Throughout the day, your host has been building the atmosphere and excitement, so why not use this to your advantage and let it flow through into the evening entertainment!? Your guests will now be familiar with the host because of the relationships they have built throughout the day, meaning when the evening party starts the guests feel like they have their own private DJ for the night time reception, one they are comfortable around.
All of this combined makes your wedding day an unforgettable experience and creates those everlasting memories.
