Tucked away down a tree lined driveway on the banks of the River Wyre, The River Barn brings together five acres of protected woodland, walled gardens and a 16th century Manor House within its grounds. Exposed oak beams and cascading greenery run through the barn itself, while the festoon lit pergola outside makes for a striking spot for drinks and canapés before the evening gets underway.

We’ve built up a strong track record at The River Barn, having provided entertainment for numerous weddings held here as a preferred supplier to the venue. That’s given us plenty of time to get to know the space properly rather than treating it as unfamiliar ground every time we arrive.
The layout here rewards a team that knows what it’s doing. Between the ceremony space, the walled gardens, and the pergola for outdoor drinks, there’s a lot of ground to cover across one wedding day, and having worked through that setup repeatedly means we can move entertainment between spaces without any of it feeling disjointed for guests.

Amazing!
We had Wez as our DJ and host for our wedding day, and he was absolutely amazing from start to finish! In the lead-up to the wedding, he was great to work with — always checking in, getting to know our favourite songs (and our do-not-plays), and really understanding the kind of vibe we wanted for the day. Having a host was one of the best decisions we made! Wez kept the energy and excitement going throughout the wedding breakfast with fun games that our guests absolutely loved — it really set the tone for the rest of the day. Then in the evening, he was an incredible DJ, reading the crowd perfectly and keeping the dance floor full all night with music that suited us perfectly. We also had Exceed’s magic mirror, which our guests couldn’t get enough of, and the saxophone player, who was a massive hit — people are still talking about how amazing he was! We honestly couldn’t recommend Wez and the Exceed team enough. They went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable!

We had the pleasure of having Wes as our Host & Dj. He was amazing from the start up until the end guiding us with what we would expext with the wedding, planning the music choices with what would work well and also reassuring us throughout the process. We had some great calls with him on the lead up to the wedding and he suggested some engaging games to play during the wedding breakfast which ourselves and the guests loved and created an amazing atmosphere! He listened to the music we wanted and truly tailored to our preference (EDM). On the day he was super helpful and really friendly with the entire party, and everyone had great things to say about him making everyone feel comfortable and ensuring we all had a great time. He is a credit to exceed and a brilliant host and dj! Thank you so much!

Wez our host & DJ was fantastic, couple of chats in the lead up and he smashed it. We are a chilled couple and laid back and Wez got the approach to us and our guests spot on. We had lots of compliments about Wez and the music and we just had the best time on our wedding day! The dance floor had people on it all night. To make a job look easy is a skill in itself. Cheers Wez and Steve agrees that operation blade was the best track of the night, I would say Castles in the sky. We also had the magic mirror which went down well and it was kept busy for the 4 hours with photos being taken.
