Mytton Fold sits in the heart of the Ribble Valley near Blackburn, a family owned hotel with panoramic countryside views and landscaped grounds including gazebos and water features. The Ribble Suite and adjacent Abbey Suite give couples flexibility for ceremonies and receptions of very different sizes, with the venue's own wedding coordinators guiding every detail behind the scenes.

For approaching seven years, Exceed Events has been the exclusive wedding entertainment partner at Mytton Fold, and that length of time has given us a genuinely thorough understanding of the venue, its suites and the way the team there likes to run a wedding day from start to finish.
Mytton Fold is one of the more flexible wedding venues in the Ribble Valley, and that flexibility is a big part of what makes our job here enjoyable. Couples can say their vows in the Ribble Suite or out among the landscaped gardens and gazebos, then move through to the Abbey Suite for a wedding breakfast and evening reception that comfortably holds anywhere from a small, intimate gathering up to several hundred guests. That range means no two weddings at Mytton Fold look quite the same, and our wedding entertainment has to flex just as much as the venue does, whether that’s a quieter acoustic set for a smaller ceremony or a full evening party in the Abbey Suite with Wedding DJs, live artists and incredible production.
There’s a particular moment from our time at Mytton Fold that means a great deal to us. In 2024, we had the honour of providing the wedding entertainment for Mytton Fold’s own general manager, Patryk, and his wife Helen. Being trusted with a wedding for someone who works in the industry, and who understands exactly what a good day looks like, isn’t something we take lightly, and it’s a moment that’s stayed with us since.

Amazing!
We had Wez as our DJ and host for our wedding day, and he was absolutely amazing from start to finish! In the lead-up to the wedding, he was great to work with — always checking in, getting to know our favourite songs (and our do-not-plays), and really understanding the kind of vibe we wanted for the day. Having a host was one of the best decisions we made! Wez kept the energy and excitement going throughout the wedding breakfast with fun games that our guests absolutely loved — it really set the tone for the rest of the day. Then in the evening, he was an incredible DJ, reading the crowd perfectly and keeping the dance floor full all night with music that suited us perfectly. We also had Exceed’s magic mirror, which our guests couldn’t get enough of, and the saxophone player, who was a massive hit — people are still talking about how amazing he was! We honestly couldn’t recommend Wez and the Exceed team enough. They went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable!

Mentions this venueWez our host & DJ was fantastic, couple of chats in the lead up and he smashed it. We are a chilled couple and laid back and Wez got the approach to us and our guests spot on. We had lots of compliments about Wez and the music and we just had the best time on our wedding day! The dance floor had people on it all night. To make a job look easy is a skill in itself. Cheers Wez and Steve agrees that operation blade was the best track of the night, I would say Castles in the sky. We also had the magic mirror which went down well and it was kept busy for the 4 hours with photos being taken. We had the pleasure of having Wes as our Host & Dj. He was amazing from the start up until the end guiding us with what we would expext with the wedding, planning the music choices with what would work well and also reassuring us throughout the process. We had some great calls with him on the lead up to the wedding and he suggested some engaging games to play during the wedding breakfast which ourselves and the guests loved and created an amazing atmosphere! He listened to the music we wanted and truly tailored to our preference (EDM). On the day he was super helpful and really friendly with the entire party, and everyone had great things to say about him making everyone feel comfortable and ensuring we all had a great time. He is a credit to exceed and a brilliant host and dj! Thank you so much!
