Maria Fowler and Kelvin Batey Wedding | A case study

Maria Fowler, former star of The Only Way is Essex, and BMX racer Kelvin Batey were tying the knot in the summer of 2019 at the stunning Nunsmere Hall after a romantic proposal in Paris. However they wanted to keep their big day under wraps away from the public eye. 

Maria came to Exceed after being referred to us directly by a previous client who had used us several times. Her and Kelvin wanted a fantastic wedding party with the kind of music that would keep everyone on their feet and the dancefloor full and busy all night long.

She was organising a surprise saxophone player for Kelvin and had originally booked through a previous agency. However the recommendation from a friend swayed her to cancel that booking and come with us instead to guarantee a high quality service.

Due to Maria and her family moving, all communication between us and her had to be done electronically, over the phone and email. We only met face to face on the day where we were able to show Maria the full set up and see her reaction. She was blown away. 

Kelvin was also delighted with the surprise saxophone player, who played his favourite song, Jubel, for the happy couple’s first dance. 

But the fun didn’t stop there. The party went on well into the night, with everyone on their feet; Maria and Kevin even ended up having a sing off. 

Following on from the wedding itself, Maria did posts on her social media about the set ups we created and the video of the evening.

It was a night both of them will remember forever, and we were thrilled to be a part of its creation.
